Kurt focuses primarily on the industrial services and software sectors. Mr. Larsen has been in the private equity industry for over 25 years during which time he has invested across a wide spectrum of industries and throughout the capital structure. Prior to MCP, Mr. Larsen was most recently a Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. where he focused on middle market private equity and subordinated debt investments. He played an integral role in all aspects of the investment process and actively worked with management teams and boards to deliver value creation. Prior to joining Cerberus in 2003, Mr. Larsen founded and was the Managing Partner of his own private equity firm. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Larsen was a Principal at Aurora Capital Group, a middle market private equity firm. Before joining Aurora Capital, Mr. Larsen worked as an Associate at WSGP Partners, a private equity firm founded by William E. Simon and Gerald L. Parsky. Mr. Larsen began his career as an Analyst and Associate at Drexel Burnham Lambert and attended the University of Utah. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Prior Fund portfolio companies CyberCore Technologies, LLC, Flexible Architecture and Simplified Technology, LLC (FAST), Hawthorne Global Aviation Services, Insurance Technologies, LLC, ALOFT, and, formerly, Quest Specialty Chemicals, Inc. Jim focuses on the industrial services sector. Mr. Johnston has 15 years of investment banking and private equity experience. Prior to MCP, Mr. Johnston was at Goldman Sachs, most recently as a Vice President in the Financial Sponsors Group. Mr. Johnston has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions across a broad spectrum of industries, including industrial services, consumer and technology. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Johnston was a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Johnston received a B.S. in Commerce with Distinction from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the board of directors of American Global Logistics, Cybercore Technologies, LLC, Hawthorne Global Aviation Services, ALOFT, and, formerly, Quest Specialty Chemicals Inc., Flightstar Aircraft Services, LLC, and Mxi Technologies, Ltd.
Andy focuses on the healthcare sector. Mr. Kieffer has 18 years of investment banking and investment experience and, prior to MCP, was in the UBS Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance Group and prior to that at Leonard Green & Partners and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Kieffer graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Comprehensive Pharmacy Services, OmniSYS, LLC, WIN Holdings, Inc and Meduit. He previously served on the board of directors of MidCap Financial, LLC.
Joel focuses on the software and consumer sectors. Mr. Killion has 17 years of private equity investment experience. Prior to MCP, Mr. Killion was with Sun Capital Partners where he worked in both the U.S. and London. Prior to joining Sun Capital, he was with Catterton Partners. He also worked for Lehman Brothers and Legg Mason early in his career. Mr. Killion holds a B.S. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He currently serves on the boards of directors of InsideRE, LLC, Flexible Architecture and Simplified Technology, LLC (FAST), Kinsale Capital Group, Ltd., Insurance Technologies, LLC, JoernsRecovercare and Zing Zang, LLC, and previously served on the board of directors of Dr. Fresh Inc., Uintah Engineering & Land Surveying, and SwipeClock, LLC.
Prior to MCP, Mr. Gartland was an Analyst at Moelis & Company where he focused on M&A and restructuring transactions across a variety of industries. Mr. Gartland holds a B.B.A. with High Distinction from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He currently serves on the boards of InsideRE, LLC, FAST, Insurance Technologies and previously served on the board of directors of SwipeClock, LLC.
Mr. Narvaez has 7 years of experience in finance and accounting in the Private Equity industry. Prior to joining Moelis Capital Partners, Mr. Narvaez was Assistant Controller at Pomona Capital where he was responsible for fund accounting and financial reporting. He began his career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Alternative Investments Group. Mr. Narvaez holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is a New York State Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to MCP, Mr. Robie was an Analyst at Moelis & Company where he focused on M&A and restructuring transactions across a variety of industries. Mr. Robie graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He formerly served on the board of directors for NAPA Management Services Corporation.
